A collection of experiments with AI and personal explorations testing potential use cases of emerging AI tools for future projects.
With the launch of Google's first synced audio and video generator, I tested one-shotting funny social videos based on an off-brand Gandalf the Grey.
When Google Veo 3 launched, the main trend was creators making meme content with talking babies, real-life versions of cartoon characters, and Gen Z slang parodies.
I used Claude AI for script writing, Google Veo for video and audio generation, and Midjourney for initial character styling and art direction.
Google Veo 3 is a great tool for concepting video campaigns, ads, and 100% pure AI social content. At the time of launch, it was still rough with voice and random caption generation.
Currently, it's great for making fun content, but expensive for hobby users. I spent about $500 USD across the 20+ videos I made—this came out to about 1,000 generations with 2–4 options each (2,000–4,000 clips generated).
If you're using it for B-roll or quick ads, I think many startups could use Veo for social ads paired with a more reliable AI audio tool like ElevenLabs.
Verdict: Great for concepts, could be used in professional production with the expectation that it's far from perfect.
