Overview

I provided freelance design support on Google DeepMind's Lyria RealTime and Lyria 3 launch, working through a creative agency alongside Google's brand and product teams.

Lyria RealTime is Google DeepMind's streaming model that generates a never-ending flow of sound shaped live, in the room, by whoever's listening. Blend genres, push tempo, shift the mood without ever hitting pause. We built an experience around that energy: fluid, expressive, and always moving.

My work spanned brand, event, motion, and product design assets supporting the rollout.

Blog Thumbnails

Every launch announcement needed a visual that could sit at the top of a blog post and still feel like Lyria. These thumbnails translate a fluid, generative model into clean, consistent frames that held the rollout together.

Key Note | Event Design

Putting a real-time music model on stage meant designing for a live audience. The keynote and event assets here turn an abstract idea, sound generated on the fly, into something an audience could watch unfold in the room.

OOH Campaigns

Out of home is where Lyria's energy had to work without sound. These large-format placements lean on bold type and motion-driven visuals built to read at a glance while still feeling alive.

Motion Graphics

I created key motion graphics showing UI and tooltips for Google Lyria both in product and for marketing assets + user onboarding.

Process: Figma > Jitter

Product design

I provided design support on Lyria's product surfaces across Google AI Labs, MusicFX, and private preview, contributing interface and visual work to the broader product team. Some of these designs were then used in marketing showing the UI, and interfaces.

Interface design

I designed dark mode interface explorations for Google Lyria, and Google Music FX studio. Reworking existing design directions to work in dark mode + create new interfaces as the product evolved.
